Hi, I'm Ruth the artist behind illoroo

A little about me... I studied illustration at the University of Portsmouth way back in 2004, but turned to teaching and worked as a primary school teacher until 2024.

I work mainly in charcoal and acrylic and my illustrations are often created using Procreate. I follow the same technique as my paintings as I do on the iPad. Creating the same effect but without the mess! 

I like to feature tablescapes, food, windows, and cats in my art, and almost always a little splash of neon!
